Recycled Quilts Project
A group of students at Hiram College have begun a project to make quilts to benefit the environment out of recycled materials. The insulation materials will be made out of lint from the college's drying machines, which are collected at the end of each week. The cloth used for these blankets will be made out of clothing items from the lost and found that were not claimed. When enough blankets have been made, the students will be selling the quilts to local stores, students from Hiram College and on Ebay. All profits will be donated by the students to the HSEPF. |
